High Technology Advantages

New Mexico has many incentives to help your high-tech company expand or relocate. With the relatively high salaries in the field and the moderate cost of living in Metro New Mexico, high tech workers enjoy a comfortable lifestyle.

The state offers a host of opportunities and incentives to high-tech companies, including commercialization programs between our two national labs and private industry that facilitate tech transfer projects, and a growing number of research parks and incubators.

Research Affiliations

Center for High Technology Materials - One of New Mexico's Centers of Technical Excellence, CHTM is renowned for its work in semiconductor and thin-film materials; high resolution fabrication; optoelectronic device design and fabrication; laser spectroscopy and laser processing of materials; semiconductor manufacturing metrology; and thin-film technologies.
Center for Micro-Engineered Materials - Hosts the National Science Foundation's Ceramic and Composite Materials Center. Research objectives are to understand and use molecular and near-molecular processes to synthesize improved ceramic materials with controlled composite structures at nano- to micro-length scales.
High Performance Computing Education and Research Center - Provides supercomputing for government agencies, UNM, other academic institutions and industry.
Nano Network of NM - Promotes collaboration between corporate nanotechnology developers and New Mexico start-up companies, fosters relationships between worldwide nanotech developers and New Mexico nanotech groups, and increases sponsored research and licenses of New Mexico based companies.
