  • Affordable Solar Group LLC - Designs and distributes solar electric and wind systems.
  • Sacred Power, Inc. - A Native American-owned renewable energy company, Sacred Power recently received a $1.9 million federal grant to bring electricity to parts of the Navajo Nation in northern Arizona.

Albuquerque

  • AAA Solar Supply Inc. - Manufactures solar air collectors and heat exchangers.
  • Advent Solar - Advent's products are based on an advanced proprietary solar cell design that Advent licensed exclusively from Sandia National Labs. The company recently secured $30 million in Series C funding to build and operate a 25 megawatt plant located in Mesa del Sol, a new 12,000-acre development and solar cluster in southwest Albuquerque.
  • Array Technologies - Manufactures solar electric trackers and control systems.
  • Direct Power and Water - Manufactures mounting racks; installs photovoltaics and system integration.
  • Emcore - A manufacturer of satellite solar cells, Emcore is committed to minimizing the impact on the environment. The company closed its California solar panel assembly plant to consolidate work in a state-of-the-art facility here. In late 2006, Emcore decided to relocate its headquarters from NJ to Albuquerque and expand its plant in the Sandia Science and Technology Park. It will add 50-80 jobs in 2007.
  • Gratings, Inc. - Gratings provides microstructural and nanostructural approaches to challenges facing the microelectronics and power industries.
  • Intelligent Energy - This international company specializes in the development of fuel cell and hydrogen generation technologies.
  • Matrix Solar Technologies, Inc. - Is a solar module manufacturer whose products are now in high demand.
  • Radiant Heating Systems Inc. - Wholesale supplier of high-efficiency radiant heating equipment.
  • Solar Automation Inc. - Designs and develops manufacturing systems and machinery for solar panels.
  • Solstar Energy Devices - Portable solar power; provides power to satellite communications.
  • UniRac Inc. - Designs and manufactures mounting structures for PV arrays.
  • Zia Power, Inc. - A NY-based startup, plans to build a solar-power components factory in NM that would hire 60-100 employees. Zia Power recently received an exclusive license for 4 patents from Sandia National Labs to produce parts for photovoltaic panels. The company decided to locate a plant in NM because of the expertise of scientists at Sandia and assistance from Technology Ventures Corp in Albuquerque.
  • Zomeworks Corporation - Zomeworks develops and manufactures passive solar energy products.
