Workforce TrainingNew Mexico is an extremely business-friendly state. We have many attractive financial incentives, a low cost of living, an amazing climate and breathtaking scenery, and workforce training opportunities that are unrivaled. Job Training Incentive ProgramThe Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP), administered by the New Mexico Economic Development Department, reimburses eligible companies 50 - 70% of classroom and on-the-job-training of newly-hired employees. The training is currently offered through the Workforce Training Center (WTC), Central NM Community College, and NM Highlands University, as well as in-plant instruction. Step Up ProgramSimilar to JTIP, the newly-created Step-Up Program will cover 50% of eligible training costs, including registration fees, certification and licensing fees, instructional materials, supplies and travel expenses for existing employees of manufacturing or non-retail service providers who receive more than 50% of their revenue from out of state. Workforce Training CenterLocated in the north I-25 area of Albuquerque, the Workforce Training Center, operated by Central New Mexico Community College, provides rapid, flexible training for local companies anywhere, anytime.
Call center training is available through both the WTC and at New Mexico Highlands University campus in Rio Rancho.
