  • City on the Mesa Starting to Appear When a 178-foot-tall water tower is included, the Mesa del Sol projects will amount to an est. $62.5M in construction. Over a 40- to 50-yr timeline, the master plan calls for 37,500 houses, condos and apartments, about 10,000 more than in Rio Rancho today. The long-range plan also calls for 18M sq.ft. of office, industrial, and retail space, more than double what's found in Rio Rancho today.
